I just realised that my posts are super long and even if I am going to read it in future, I will lack the interest to do so. Will try to cut it short tomorrow, together with updates for Day 3 and 4. :D

[continued from Day 1. Pls press forward.]

Did a lot of packing when I wake woken up by Mingquan, so didnt brush teeth. Went down the long and scary stairway to have breakfast, which was gross fried rice and tasteless kaya and butter bread. It was INDEED a camp! P;

Rafting was next; took a short ride to the muddy river. Used barrels and poles again, like OBS. (: Grouped with Mingquan, Jedd, Samuel, Kennedy, Limin, Xuting, Jiahui, Florence, Cheryl, Jan, Wenmin and Suian. The trainer gave some really great insights, and Pastor Wee was a great helper too! These factors contributed to our successful raft. :D We used extra resources and this made the raft super sturdy! :} In the end when we got into the river, we purposely drench ourselves! Haha, I even managed to get back on the raft! :P

Went back to cavesite and started on abseiling! It looked really retarded initially as I wondered why they were moving so slowly. Zzz. Waited for a while before making my way up. Met Suian and Cheryl, whom walked the wrong way. :O Who cares, we reached the place in the end. K; My turn came soon but I wasnt that scared due to a chewing bubble gum. Lying back to abseil was a cool feeling but not to be experienced frequently, LOL hahah. Hit myself on the rocks twice as my knees kept bending. Hmm, I even laughed out of nowhere in the middle. *_*

Next was caving! It was retarded too, because all we did is to walk in gooing mud and experienced natural air-con as a reward. I didnt mind as my shoes had great grip (quoted Mum) and was loafy and primary schoolish! (Cant wait to throw them away) I like it when Gabriel kept whining while passing waterlogged areas. As you know his shoes are umm, not the average kind, *coughs loudly* so he walked rather consciously.

I remembered making a comment about Jia Shen, cos he was standing at some high altitude and a good position for "beautiful scenery" (LOLLL). Immediately, characters involved changed positions! o_O Not dramatic in any case. (",)

Hopped my way back, washed up, packed my bag efficiently and saw the other group came. Boarded the bus and viola, off our way to the dormsite! As usual, sang many songs, but more of Christian songs because we had apparently ran out of them. :S I must have had a lot of luck on the bus, as I had small wins between Jedd and Junwei... HAHAHA, *evil and boastful laughters*

Reached Tekam dormsite, hooray! It sounded so much better that the sinister-looking caves, but not in any other way, better. D: Had our dinner and watched a traditional performance. "Cheered" for our classmates when they were sabotaged into joining. Most of the participants had this "better-stop-the-performance-if-not-I-box-your-face" expression, darn funny lor! (Y)

Made our way back to our large room, S5, which was just nice for 3E's 16 boys. (: Other students kept using our backdoor, as theirs were spoiled. Hmm, and I dont understand the fun in Chess /Chinese Chess, that everyone had to play it at a daily basis, including on the dining table! :O Slept on the top of the double-decker, with Keith below (duh). Mingquan even lined up two twines across beds for hanging clothes. ^^ Lights out was when we finished wiping the abundant amount of pricky heat on our smooth floor. :X

Sight for the day: I knocked my head on the pertruding ceiling, hit my right leg on the corner of the bed, injured my right hand while attempting to climb to Jedd's bed. OUCH. @:

[End of Day 2. Pls press repeat.]

Back from Taman Negara, and wow, its really interesting! It felt really... "surreal" (quoted Chuyi) cos the environment is that different. We were not tied down by time contraints, instead, enjoy ourselves thoroughly in the fun-filled activities. Now, for the happy parts of the camp. Heheh, ^_^

Was woken up by my cool Starstrukk phone alarm, heh. Reached school happily at 6am before departing to Tuas. Yep, it was like a class tour because the ride was just... long! *_* Reached Yong Peng and had lunch, some lousy Chicken rice ._. Played Taptap using Sihui's Itouch with Huajie while trying to eat, *coughs*.

Singing random songs on the bus was really enjoyable, but usually its only those who are behind who sang... My favourite would be the chorus of 'Dont Trust Me' cos everyone would 'WOO' together, mad chio k! :) Tone gradually went down as everyone went into deep sleep...

Finally (not so anticipating it) we reached the cavesite! Grouped with Jonathan, Mingquan and Samuel for the tents. Place our belongings inside and laid out sleeping bags. Next, we went down to have outdoor cooking. A rather new experience I must say? Considering that the mega heavy rain flowed into our fire immediately! It was quite scary [?] because everyone panicked (at the disco). We had to finish cooking as fast as possible. Although Mingquan went to help others like ALL THE TIME -.- , we still managed to dish up a Mamee + slimy egg + squishy hotdogs + disgusting curry chicken combo. I was eating enjoyably at the back while the others were still cooking, HEHEH - So helpful right ._.

Due to the unforeseen rain, night "confidence" walk was delayed by an hour. Did some horrendous stuff in the cavesite before heading down. The walk (or run when you feel like it) wasnt something to build up confidence but more of teamwork, trust and steadfastness. (:

Embarked with Shuyuan, Keith and Yujian. :D Walked super slow indeed till the group behind caught up... EH WE DIDNT CHEATED OKAY HAHAHA. :P Yujian almost fell into the river... luckily trainers were around so we could get back on track. :O Yujian couldnt walk straight too! Kept walking onto the leaf litter aka soft ground every few seconds. Nonetheless, finished the "race" with dignity. (:

Went back to our cavesite after this. Should have went to explore, as I didnt really do much that night except to lie down with Samuel. Cheered ridiculously for a while before it was time to fart (I wonder who) get refreshed for the wonderful day ahead.

Sight of the day: During the one hour break, Keith and Yujian hilariously brought out their Chinese Chess set and played on a smooth spot in the cave with their torchlights, attracting much curious passer-bys.

[End of Day 1. Pls press repeat.]

Firstly, it is finally holidays. Had O' Level Chinese papers 4 days back. A break from excessive Chinese exposure including songs restrictions, ROFL!

Secondly, STC ended 3 hours ago. Area 10 was... wacky. :P Experienced a bit of culture shock though, but nevertheless it was a great experience. (: Learnt many new songs, skills and indeed the rain did not spoil our fun. ^^ I certainly hope I could bond better with my 18 groupmates, aka Hot Pink. :D

Thirdly, Taman Negara trip in 2 days. o_O I have to unpack and pack my camping bag concurrently.

Fatigue has overwhelmed my soul and its time to sleep...

03 November, 2009
I named my playlist "Exam-driven." Ironically, I'm still listening to the same old songs after exams, LOL. Eh no, I still got O' Level Chinese papers exactly a week from today! D:

Whats wrong with being exam-driven? Haha, but SOME people :O just choose to ignore this very important fact thats Singaporeans are nothing but competitive (also known as KIASU).

I find my recent report card to be a sheer fortunate for me that is. Also, a lil hilarious. [?] Gotten an A1, an A2, a B3, and 5 B4s. I was super lucky not to get any C despite being slacky this year. Certainly, I must cut down on the time spent on the computer because indeed, I was heavily distracted by it.

(Holiday assignments on a different page now, direct copy and paste, yay)

19 October, 2009
"A" (grade) suddenly seemed so far away... especially after I got back my results. Hmm? Decided to throw away my targets, because they just doesnt fit into my results well enough. :(
*Four colours to represent my satisfactory levels: RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN. Of course, RED means WTF while GREEN means, duh, FTW!

(In order of papers received back)
English Paper 2: 21 /50.
English Paper 1 (Report Writing): 21 /30.
English Paper 1 (Composition): 22 /30.
English Oral: 33 /40.
English: 62%
Views: FAILED PAPER 2 FOR THE FIRST TIME, tad sinful during this crucial period! Most of my answers were Excess Denied. ;'( Its kind of ironic that I got the same marks for Paper 2 and report writing. -_- Speaking about that stupid report, I only got a 21 ._. Irritated, as I spent an hour on it! I can do this for English but not for Chinese, since both sections carry equal marks. Rushed through my lovely argumentative essay and got higher... Should spend more time on it in future. :D

Social Studies: 28 /50.
Views: Poor time management for this awful paper, spent an hour on SEQ, which I had a hard time remembering the factors and points involved. If more time was dedicated to SBQ, I WOULD NOT HAVE FAILED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. Nice that I got full marks for the part question (d), shall do that first for future papers!

Chemistry: 60/ 100.
Views: Supposed to feel happy I guess, but there is a huge room for improvement! P: Initially the marks were counted wrongly, haha, and I was graded C. Looked at the answer key and damn, the mark allocation is weird. D; Nevertheless, found some marks and jumped to B! :O Woohoo.

History Elective: 36 /50.
Combined Humanities: 64/100.
Views: I would really jump if I didnt get an A, LOL. Terribly focused on this paper especially after you know you wouldnt do well for SS. D: PASS HISTORY SBQ FOR THE FIRST TIME, and got slightly above average than usual SBQ-pros, which made me happy too. :P Unfortunately, a contrast to SS.

Physics: 66 /100.
Views: It is rather ironic right? Especially that I spent more than two thirds of my efforts before the day on Geog, but currently, Physics is my best subject which I only spent the day itself, reading through some formulas. Must focus on keeping to 3 sig. figs. FOR ALL QUESTIONSand writing the units.

Geography: 25 /50.
Views: Acted pro and tried to memorise almost the whole book, which wasnt the common practice - should have just concentrated on Natural Vegetation and Rivers &Coasts! D: Looked through my file and notes, and this is what I get for dedicating my soul (despite being effing tired on a Thursday night) to the paper - should have spent time on Physics instead, that may guarantee an A? <:) Anyway, made a lot of misinterpretations and missed out minor details which is why I didnt really score, too.

Chinese Paper 1 (Letter-writing): 16/20.
Chinese Paper 1 (Composition): 49/70.
Chinese Paper 2: 57 /110.
Chinese: 122 /200 = 61 /100.
Views: -thinking of comments, to be updated-

EMath Paper 1: 56 /80.
EMath Paper 2: 84 /100.
EMath: 77.7%
Views: Super sad, as I made a lot of careless mistakes! :( Thats why I can find many method marks for my papers ._. cos I used the right method but with a wrong digit or whatever. Kind of retarded right; I thought I'm less careless after CT2, but blah, still a long way to go! However, cant really blame myself if I'm careless, as I spent only half of my efforts in Paper 1, due to time-consuming History (though the subject is lovely) which means I didnt really practice any questions. Phrase goes, "Practice makes perfect." So yep, need more practices! :D

AMath: 61 /80.
Views: Another not-so-well-done paper, considering that it was rather chicken feat for me. (initially after completing the paper) Again, made a lot of stupid and redundant mistakes, which was less than fatal. ):> Nonetheless, didnt really spend time revising for the paper so... ("You reap what you sow.") its acceptable! :P

Overall: 2 A1s, 1 B3, 3 B4s, 1 C5 &1C6.
Shit this less-than-70% overall percentage, didnt meet my resolution - DIE, CRIMINAL.

I thought blogging is about remembering the past? A published diary, that is.

Then why do SOME like to start their blog posts with "HI (WHATEVER)" BUNNIES CHICKIES POPPIES ICE CREAM? Quoting is prohibitied, if not people will come and ask me if there is anything wrong and if I intentionally linked myself to those involved.

Sometimes, I wonder what a tagboard is really for. Is it for people to tag, or flood? (Ambiguous)
I support the idea of putting a fake name and tagging. I suppose so, because you wont really feel good if someone you know is reading your blog, right? It is AN ONLINE DIARY nonetheless.

My opinion, I'm afraid sure some people are annoyed.
Actually, this isnt even a post.
Just feel like purposing a blog.

P.S. I like my argumentative essay written for EOY. It sounded nice.

16 October, 2009
Went for kayaking course today with the Sec 2 &3 Squads! (: Had 3riple Crunch for lunch at Long John Silver's, thus reached school kind of late. D: (Cannot commit this sinful act again) First thing I did was to pass a damn cheque to Ms Choi for the Zhuhai trip. After that, it was super unlucky of me to see Mr Tan, cos I didnt know that we had to access our Math(s) reflections through Heymath ._. Quite stupid huh? P:

Next, took a bus to Kallang Sea Center! It was a long ride there and throughout the trip, Jia Jun and Wei Li were quarrelling over hospitals, (those usual stuff), ROFL. Yep, upon reaching, carried out kayaks, paddles, had some theorical talk before we headed out for some great kayaking!

Was the last to kayak out, and my skills arent good. D: Gathered and off we moved to some odd beach area - took an ultra long time to reach! LMAO, settled down and did a swim with our Personal Floatable Device (PFD). It was quite fun, before we were divided into 3 groups - imma Group 2 with 3 Sec 3s & 5 Sec 2s.

RECAP: (Parts of a kayak) Bow (fore deck), Stern (aft deck), Port, Starboard, Carrying handles, Combings, Cockpit, Kneecaps, Teeths (footings) & Hull. (Parts of a paddle) Edge, Tip, Power face, Back face, Neck & Shaft.

Learnt many things (which is the main purpose of attending this course), like sweep strokes (EXPERT), capsize drills {L}, J-draw (hard?), and the inaugural rafted 'X' rescue! :O

Regarding that activity, tried out with Jia Jun and Clara (Sec 2), where we took turns to take on the role of 'Victim', 'Rescuer' and 'Assistant'. It was FREAKING HARD to pull the kayak up for water draining! Super tiring to simply pull from the cockpit, but who cares, we did it the (un)successful way, heh! ^_^ Cant say we didnt cheat right...

Our last activity of the day, as we moved back to the shore by then. Going back is like so much easier luh! :S Washed up, changed, gathered as we waited for the bus to come. Nonetheless, the view is splendid at night, colourful lights emitted by the buildings, and the Flyer - awesome! :D

Had dinner @Northpoint's KFC with Jia Jun, Gerin and Min Min. Had my usual favourite and mini-talked. Borrowed money to the max already eh, MUST RETURN THEM ASAP! :P

Bathed upon reaching home, washed my shoes too. What a nice day. (:
P.S. Ears had been itching ever since. The invention of prickly heat, helps.

I must talk about the hot topic, soon!

A peaceful Thursday night. (: Planning to do homework on Kyoto Protocol, a lil hard that is.

I saw a poem in my file of achievements which was rather interesting in my point of view. :D Yay?

"Tok.
Innovative, humourous, lazy, talkative. (Contradicting but kind of true to a... large extent)
Son of his creative father and hardworking mother. (Creative father? ...ROFL)
Lover of money, sumptuous chips and cool computer games. (Wow I didnt change!)
Who feels insane over computers, mad about television and hypnotized by MP3s. (Seriously do, OMG)
Who fears the furry legs, blady body and invisible wings of insects. (Not fearful now)
Who gives responsibility to work, innovation to projects and dedication to studies. (Model and politically rightful example LOL)
Who would like to see peace, harmony and love amongst people. (Not feeling so innocent anymore) [?!]
A resident of a peaceful block in Singapore.
Vincent."
It was a biographical poem I wrote when I'm in P6; one of the alternative assessments at that time. Interesting!

Woohoo, its only a few days to EOY but I'm starting to regret over Sec 3 life. D8 It seems so short and life was not that tight, due to H1N1 luh. I love tight lives where I rush through late night reports and assignment submissions. Mainly because I'm a technology freak? Not sure but I love the feeling that its night time. ^_^

Back to my work, hee.

Surprisingly, I started my mini revision today well. (: Did some EMath questions and revised on Geography: Elements of Weather. I cannot be much bothered about Chemistry... (oh dear) okay should study that later before I sleep, keke. Zzz, time passes amazingly fast when you uses the computer. *coughs* Worse still, I've switched on the computer for the 3rd time for today already. How sinful is that! D:

(Actually I dont even have an intention to post today... LMAO)

September Holidays are here! *hooray!* I started this holidays by being super slack - sleep until 太阳晒到屁股了!, and using the computer for the whole day! (even when having meals) [ALERT!]

My schedule for this holidays is really, quite slack as well.
- Wednesday to Friday: Higher Chinese remedials ._.
- Saturday: Yong-En Flag Day + Inter Unit Quiz! (:

It is currently Sunday night, but I feel like its Saturday?
Yesterday's Saturday but I dont feel that yesterday existed. Why LOL. :( It means that I've completely wasted a day without thinking back. (It always happen for weekends...) Need to start planning a productive study guide now. Err, tomorrow la. :P

Happy Teacher's Day. *lively* Went to a number of places today, but it wasnt tiring. (duh)

Went to school in the morning and had a super short celebration for only 2 hours. -_- Should have learnt from Jemmy and not even go! What a waste of my precious time. LOL haha kidding. :P Played volleyball for (really) less than a while and supposed made my way to primary school but was kind of pissed [?] that most arent going, thus decided not to go. Oops!

Went to GOLDEN MILE FOOD CENTER! With Daniel, Jedidiah, Kun Han, Seow Jia Jun, Hao Boon, Ryan &his friend. (: Had typical char kway teow (unfortunately not the yummy green one), watermelon juice and chocolate fondue. Haha, nice?

Photobucket
Its my turn, Daniel Lim Meng Lee!

Photobucket
I never really wanted to post this photo, but why wouldnt I. LOL.

Went to ION ORCHARD! With Kun Han, Seow Jia Jun, Daniel and Jedidiah. (the latter two went home early without informing ._. ) Basically walked around and err, complained as we made our way? HAHA, mostly about school-related issues. We even missed stations because of this. ROFL. Quite interesting to have a chat with Kun Han and Jia Jun. Hehe, had starbucks coffee too. I seriously prefer hot beverages to chilled ones! (OMG am I turning to an uncle) Had hot chocolate latte.

(Finally) Went back to PRIMARY SCHOOL! Met many familiar faces!

Photobucket
Sheng Xian, Yu Bin, Syafiq, Barry, Woon Ping, Zhi Yan and Kai Shan. (edited by Syafiq)

HAHAHA had much fun. Oh, Jia Hui came later too. =) Not forgetting Ms Sandra Lee (Hit the Road, Jack!) and Ms Anita Kaur. Hoho.

As my primary school relocated and merged, it changed logo! :( But haha, most of the stuff still remained. :D AT THE VERY LEAST THE NAME DIDNT CHANGE. :P

Searching random keywords on the Internet is more or less my hobby on the Internet. A matter of fact, the Internet is seriously too wide and sometimes, many things are typically ignored, especially those 'dead' websites. But still, there are many things that could be described as FUN AND COOL! ^_^

Oh, I found an 'inspiring' blog by a Physics teacher in RI. What he wrote inside cannot be argued, cos THEY. ARE. FACTS. (:

"I joined the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) as CCA. When I first joined the CCA, it was because I felt that the uniform looked smart. I didn't think so much. I didn't know what I was in for.

My squadmates & I went through 3 years of really really tough training. When I was in Sec. 1, we had to gather at the monkey bar every day after school. Our NCOs would meet us there and made sure that each of us cross the monkey bar a few times. As a result, our hands were always filled with blisters. Eventually, these blisters hardened and became hard skin.

Besides physical training, foot drill was also an essential part of our training. It's really crazy, marching up and down in the hot sun, doing amazing numbers of push-ups and sit-ups. The record number of sit-ups my squad did was 500. Crazy right?

So, the question is why didn't I quit the CCA? After all, some of my squadmates did left us & I don't see the purpose in all that tough training at all. 2 reasons that I can think of. Friends. And pride.

Friends
My squadmates and I began to form a bond, mainly because of shared experiences (shared sufferings to be exact). My closest friends till date, besides my church-mates, are all from The Chinese NPCC unit 1994 - 1997.

Pride
Even at that age, I hate giving up halfway. I preferred to endure the tough training and show people that I can make it. There was a lot of pride in me, and that sometimes caused me to do foolish things in the latter part of my life.

At the end of 4 years, I attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was the Publications Chairman in the Executive Committee. I had the badges as shown below. More importantly, I made many many good friends, who had been with me throughout my life journey.

Don't give up. Persevere on in the things that you really believe in. We need this in every stage of our life."

Anyway, it is related to what I did today. :D Went to school in the morning feeling excited over the day ahead, as there hasnt been formal trainings for weeks! So yeah, my duty was the First Aider, nothing much for me to describe uh? :P Haha, but the debrief and promotion test preparation part {L} was nice! Heehee!

After parade, went to Long John Silver (had been going there for WEEKS?!) with Jia Jun, Ming Quan, Gerald, Timothy, Shu Yuan, Gerin and Min Min. Haha, and went off after that... *umm* ROFL? (:

A "wAcKy" September is awaiting me; CCA + HCL + EOY! Nice one.
